THE ULTIMATE BIGOT!

We all know that recently, one Senior Indian Diplomat Mr. Anil Verma has recently been accused of "Domestic Violence" in London.

He is accused of beating his wife and the wife, who is also a senior Government Official (working in Indian Railways, who is on a long leave).
In this incident, Mr. Verma was arrested and immediately, he invoked his diplomatic immunity. Now, the UK government has requested Indian Government for waiving the diplomatic Immunity enjoyed by this accused person. Diplomatic immunity is being used by many of the diplomats even for parking offences. We all know that under this diplomatic immunity the person could not charged by the country where he is posted. He can only be charged at his native country, which in most of the cases never happens.

I am not going to go into the details of the case and I am also not going to argue whether the diplomatic immunity should be waived or not.

I am terribly angry with the side show which happened on NDTV, regarding this incident.

NDTV conducted talk /discussion show on this Diplomatic gaffe. Among the panel was one Mr. K.C.Gill, Former Foreign Secretary, Indian Governement.
This gentleman (Oops!) this man comes on a national television and he, in a subte way, not only condons (even though he denise it openly) the alleged act of the diplomat, but also says that this is an issue between two individuals, which state should not intervene.
Which planet he is living? Is “Wife Beating” is a normal thing in India? Maybe it is normal in India. But it is not in UK. Here wife is treated as individuals not as somebody’s possessions.

Mr. K.C.Gill went beyond the point of discussion, which is whether the diplomatic immunity should be waived or not in this case. He said that this violence is trivial matter. He also started pre-judging the case by attributing a motive of the wife to raise this issue and complaint to the police. What a load of crap?

Infact, he insists that the diplomat need not be withdrawn or brought back delhi and the warring couple should be left to themselves to “sort it out”.

How insensitive and immature this person? He is still living in the past.

When the other people in the panel protested, he immediately raised the issue as national pride. He claimed that if this case is dealt in London, then it will show that we have no faith in our own justice. Come on…We all know that we have no faith in our justice system. Because, we all know that if we have money and influence we can buy justice in India and we can show a million proofs for this.

If this man is so concerned about national pride then he should have called for the dismissal of this diplomat who is suppose to represent our country. Instead the Turban wearing idiot (Sorry for my sikh friends - I know that he is not a honourable sikh) trying to shield his shamed colleage under the Government Rules.

As it is our Indian image on this matter is pretty low in the world’s view.
Now with people like him talking like this, we have no chance of redeeming it.

If this kind of person was running our government, no wonder we started getting diplomats like Mr. Anil Verma, who bashed his wife and claimed that no body could do anything, as he is a Diplomat.

SHAME ON YOU MR. GILL.
